The Kneighborhood of Knowledge

"Hey…Neighborhood is spelled wrong!"

Happy March!!

March 2, 2009

Enjoy your snow day boys and girls…I know I will.  Just remember that your brochures are due on Wednesday and the Ancient Rome Test is on Friday.  We were going to watch the remainder of the video Ancient Rome:  Fall of the Empire. I might show snippets of it in class on Tuesday, but we do have other things to complete in order to prepare for the test.

For those of you wondering…the answer to last week’s extra credit question was:  1830’s

The modern banjo was popularized by the American minstrel performer Joel Sweeney in the 1830s. Banjos were introduced in Britain in the 1840s by Sweeney’s group, the American Virginia Minstrels, and became very popular in music halls.[2]

I will deal out the extra credit vouchers to those of you that answered correctly on Tuesday.
