All the activity information has been posted on the room4 tab.  It is not password protected at the moment. Get all the info you need there. Sorry for the late post, but I was out at Graduate School.  Good luck accessing the stuff.

Computer Lab – Day 2

We had a nice little day in the computer lab today. Most of you worked on the Google Earth Exploration while a few of you fiddled around with Audacity.

Remember…these assignments are extra credit.  Google Earth is an amazing tool to use in school and at home. If you want some extra credit points thrown your way, then complete the Google Earth Exploration assignment.  Click Here –> Computer Lab Day 2

The other assignment was to work with Audacity. This is another great program to use in school or at home. Audacity is a little more difficult to figure out, but I’m sure most of you can handle it. If you want to complete this assignment, you’ll need to record the content of the 3 internet sheets into an audacity recording.  You will need to bring me the exported mp3 file to get credit.  Click here for some helpful hints to using audacity –> Helpful Hints for using Audacity

Remember…these programs are complete FREE, FUN, and SAFE to use at home.

Computer Lab – Day 1

Nice job today in the computer lab. In case you wanted you complete those three sheets at home…you can. If you complete them at home, then you’ll have more time in the lab tomorrow for Google Earth or Audacity.

Living Geography

We made  our second Living Map today.  Those students that were geographical features on Friday became settlers today. Hopefully, you had fun doing it.

After the activity, we completed Reading Notes 7.

Geography Challenge Map

For those of you who were sick last week…or if you hand writing is completely sloppy…here is a copy of the completed map that we worked on.  Feel free to print it out and put it in your notebooks.  If your copy is perfect, then there is no need to print a copy for yourself.

Unit I in the books

Just finished the first Unit Test of the school year. It was a long unit.  We’re going to pick up the pace for this next unit. For those that didn’t get to see it, make sure you scroll down and check out the Mesopotamian video. It is a classic!

Six Questions

For a quick and easy review session, develop SIX questions (1 from each chapter). Be sure to make your questions as difficult as you can. Be sure that you know the answer because you’re going to ask the class.

Mechanical Dioramas

Today, we’re presenting our mechanical dioramas. Since everyone is responsible for all the information presented, you will need to follow along with this sheet…Four Empires – Graphic Organizer.

Our test is still on Wednesday. Hopefully everyone is reviewing their notes, the chapters, their do nows, and their vocabulary.  Here is a study guide of good, solid information to know. Unit I – Study Guide

Happy Studying :)
