The Kneighborhood of Knowledge

"Hey…Neighborhood is spelled wrong!"

about me

Welcome to the wonderful world of Granito online!!

I’m a fourth year 7th Grade Social Studies teacher and I like history. With a BA in Economics, but no desire to enter that field, I turned to teaching. Granito, I thought you said you taught Social Studies!?! Well, I’m so glad you’re listening…I decided to go back to school to get a degree in History and my teaching certificate at the same time. The rest is History…..get it?

I’m currently teaching in a middle school in New Jersey.  After spending two years in South Carolina, I thought it was time to come back to sunny NJ. So far, my migration back to Jersey has be outstanding.

I originally created this blog for the students, but it turns out parents love looking at it too!  The Kneighborhood of Knowledge is intended to be a supplement to the classroom, as well as a place to showcase some of their student created work. Sometimes I’ll even put up some easy extra credit questions for the students to take advantage of.

This space is intended to be an open-forum so feel free to comment on any information or request to add any information.

Regards,

Mark Granito
